Diana Remeikytė
From 2018 to 2020, she earned her BA and MA in Graphic Art at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. A young and active artist, Remeikyte consistently creates and participates in various art projects.
Her large-format thread paintings, created using the tufting technique, merge elements of weaving and embroidery, allowing her to “paint” with vibrant threads instead of conventional materials. This process serves as a form of visual journaling, with each piece reflecting her daily experiences and observations.
Remeikyte’s works have been featured internationally, including in DUENDE in Madrid, which highlighted Lithuanian textile art, and Vilnius Vibes at the Anger Museum in Erfurt, Germany, showcasing the dynamism of contemporary art from the capital of Lithuania. She is also the first textile artist whose works have been acquired by Lithuania’s MO Museum, the country’s leading contemporary art institution. The museum purchased all the works from her debut exhibition with her gallery, marking the first time fiber art became part of its collection.
